‘Rime' No Longer Exclusive To PlayStation; Indie Game Heads To Xbox One And Nintendo Switch

One of the highly awaited independent video games has been reported to head on to other gaming platforms. The puzzle video game, “Rime” will no longer be exclusively available for Sony’s PlayStation 4. It has been officially announced that the said video game will now be released on three more platforms.

Rime” has been set to release in May 2017 and was initially announced to be exclusively available on the PlayStation 4, after it was introduced in 2013. The video game was originally titled “Echoes of Screen” and went through some ordeals until it finally landed a deal with Sony, making it exclusive to PlayStation 4. But it seems like “Rime” is destined for bigger things as just last year in March, Tequila Works was able to gain back their rights to the video game and finally announced that the video game will also now be available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and even on the upcoming Nintendo Switch.

“Rime”, is an upcoming adventure video game that features immersive puzzles embedded in a stunning environment for players to solve and enjoy. The said video game is being developed by Tequila Works, an independent Spanish team of game developers founded in 2009. The independent developer is known to have employees who have gained experience from working in various well-known gaming companies such as Blizzard Entertainment, Pyro Studios and Sony Computer Entertainment.

Tequila Works have already released one title under their belt with their debut video game project titled “Deadlight”, which was released in August 2012 for various gaming platforms. The said survival horror video will be followed by two more projects, namely “The Sexy Brutale” and “Rime”, which are both slated for this year. Although they have yet to announce more details on “The Sexy Brutal”, the developers have already revealed so much content on “Rime”, promoting it here and there with trailers and gameplay videos as it prepares for its release.
