Startup tech company, Faraday Future, is set to unveil their first-ever production vehicle today at the Consumer Electronics Show. The company has been showing off teaser photos and videos of the all-new electric sports utility vehicle over the past months. The latest teaser video shows the vehicle going in a head to head drag race with vehicles such as a Tesla, a Ferrari and a Bentley.
1000 Horsepower Concept
Faraday Future had fans anticipating for a production vehicle after they launched a 1000 horsepower all-electric supercar at the 2016 Consumer electronics Show. The single-seater supercar, named FFZero1 Concept Car, The concept car is powered by four electric motors, one in each wheel, and produces 1000 horsepower and can reach zero to 60 miles in less than three seconds.
Future Had A lot Of Mishaps For 2016
However, things were not doing great for Faraday Future after last year's Consumer Electronics Show. The company was on the verge of bankruptcy and faced multiple lawsuits, top executives resigning, and majority of its fans almost losing hope that the company will go straight to a ditch. Fortunately, Faraday Future is still staying through to its vision and has been fearlessly releasing teaser photos and videos of their upcoming production car in attempts to increase the hype of their followers.
Can Faraday Futures New Car Live Up To Its Teasers
The startup company would unveil their new, possibly all electric, sports utility vehicle at the 2017 Consumer electronics Show. Teaser videos of the sports utility vehicle show that it is clad in black camouflage and is racing with what they seem to be targeting as rivals. The sports utility vehicle can be seen beating a Ferrari 488 GTB, a Bentley Bentayga and a Tesla Model X P100D. Teaser photos only show minimal highlights of the cars front and rear ends and how its seats may possibly look.
A Price Range, Finally
Up until today, no announcement has been made on what the vehicle would cost. However, fresh reports say that Faraday Future already made an announcement that the sports utility vehicle would cost at around $150,000 to $200,000 dollars. That price range brings it closest to the Tesla Model X, making the vehicle more affordable for the electric vehicle market.
The unveiling of Faraday Futures automobile would either make or break their short career today at the Consumer Electronics Show. Some fans were not pleased with the number of teasers that have come out and simply wish for Faraday Future to just show what their new car is all about. Thus, making today's event especially big for the company. The cars design and performance could be the deciding factor whether Faraday Future will make it as a company, or if it would be a sign to just let go, pay their debts, or possibly re-think their strategy.
Faraday Faces More Competition, Aside From Itself
Aside from their personal mishaps, Faraday Future would also face a lot of competition, as other manufacturers would showcase their own vehicles as well. Other companies have already made prior announcement as to what fans can expect. Unless Faraday Future truly came up and show a vehicle that is notable and worth looking at, then it may be a long shot for the company to get back on its feet.
