Acer Predator 21 X is one of the greatest gaming laptops that will be unveiled this 2017. Good news, it will be made to order for customers starting next month!
Acer’s Predator 21 X Is A Gaming Beast
According to The Verge, the Acer’s monstrous Predator 21 X gaming laptop will cost $8,999. This most anticipated gaming laptop will be made to order for customers starting in February. Its components are very extreme and it is the first ever such computer with a curved display in a 21-inch, 2560 x 1080 resolution IPS display to be exact.
The Design And Specs
The Acer Predator 21 X has the frightful design, with rough, pointing black and silver edges and a flashy blue dragon stock graphic slapped above the keyboard. It is indeed a great laptop for gaming since its appearance is like a shield game protector to the enemies. In fact, it looks not too far off from such a military laptop you’d see in an action movie’s oversimplified hacking scene.
The keyboard uses Cherry MX brown switches that include individually lit LED lights, programmable to 16.7 million colors. The most popular type of tactile, non-clicky switch is the Cherry MX Brown. This switch was introduced in 1994 as a special ‘ergo soft’ switch, but quickly became one of the most popular switches.
About the touchpad, it can be flipped over and turned into a Precision Touchpad. According to Life Hacker, Precision touchpads are a new kind of touchpad introduced with some Windows 8 laptops. They're supposed to be more specific and sensitive and also have a few more touch gestures.
Meanwhile, using the Windows Hello, the user has a personal way to sign in to his/her Windows 10 laptop with just a look or a touch. Along with eye-tracking tech from Tobii Technology, eventually supported games would allow you to aim with your eyes.
As reported by TechCrunch, Acer opted for dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphic cards in SLI, an overclockable 7th- generation Intel Core i7-7820HK processor, 64GB of DDR4-2400 memory, up to four total 512GB solid state drives in RAID 0 configuration. It includes two, faster NVMe PCIe SSDs and a 7200 RPM hard drive with up to a solid 2TB capacity. The whole specs exceed most custom gaming desktops rival, including the recently reviewed HP Omen X.
