BlackBerry Z10 Now Available Through T-Mobile: Hurray Or Who Cares?

T-Mobile has made good on its promise made nearly a week ago when it tweeted that it would offer the new BlackBerry Z10 starting Tuesday, March 26.

The 4G LTE BlackBerry Z10 is now officially available through T-Mobile and is being offered for the price of $531.99. The down payment is $99 and consumers are given the opportunity by the carrier to go on an $18 a month payment plan for 24 months.

"Every feature, every gesture, and every detail is designed with you in mind, "T-Mobile says on its Z10 sales page. "Discover how BlackBerry® Z10 keeps you moving."

In the box, you'll receive:

* Battery

* Charger

* SIM Card

* T-Mobile Start Guide

* RIM Safety Information Booklet

* USB Cable

Features of T-Mobile's 4G LTE BlackBerry Z10 include:

  • 8 mp camera
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Dual-core 1.5 GHz processor
  • Front-facing 2 mp camera
  • Up to 32GB of expandable memory

Despite the fact that BlackBerry has been hoping its Z10 device would help stave off what might just be the inevitable when it comes to notoriously poor showings in the marketplace, it seems the company just can't get a break. T-Mobile may be proud to be carrying the BlackBerry Z10, but from the buzz (or lack thereof) going around about reactions from users on other carriers, it seems BlackBerry may need to try a little harder next time.

It didn't take long for the disappointed reviews to start piling up after AT&T began offering the BlackBerry Z10 on March 22.

"As result, BlackBerry shares fell 7.7 percent to $14.91, the biggest drop in a month," iTechPost said.

T-Mobile may be carrying the BlackBerry Z10 now, but we still have to wait to see if this will mean anything for the company that is continuing to struggle to regain its share of the market it once nearly owned.

Other U.S. carriers that already or will offer the BlackBerry Z10 phone can be seen here.
