As tech companies start planning for the whole year of 2017, Acer unveils the new Aspire VX 15 and V Nitro Black Edition for their list of gaming notebooks. Along with this, Acer also unveils at CES 2017 the Aspire GX desktop.
In addition to the new Acer Predator 21 X, the company has also announced updates for their very own gaming notebooks that is said to budget-type compare to its competitors. Acer is announcing a new V Nitro 15 and V Nitro 17 and a new value series in the VX 15.
Acer Announces Aspire VX 15
As described by Digital Trends, Acer Aspire VX 15 is an all-new machine that boasts features such as a flashy red chassis, aggressive cooling vents and a keyboard with color red backlighting designed to make clear the notebook’s gaming chops. The Aspire VX 15 comes in at 5.5 pounds, just over an inch thick, and sports a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display on its monitor.
Acer gave the Aspire VX 15 body a "gaming system" physical look including 2 large stylized fan vents at the back for keeping the system nice and cool. CNET reported that the new Acer Aspire machine will arrive later this month with a starting price of $799 in the US. This 15.6-inch laptop will come configured with options of 4GB 1050 or 1050 Ti paired with either an Intel Core i5-7300HQ or Core i7-7700HQ system processor.
On another information, both the UK and Australian availability were not announced yet by Acer, but the given price converts to about £650 or AU$1,110. So if you are in the UK or Australia part of the world and you want to have the Acer Aspire VX 15, you may want to prepare for that value.
Acer Announces Aspire V Nitro
Acer has updated its Aspire V Nitro line, those are the Acer Aspire V15 and Acer Aspire V17 Nitro Black Edition. The latest Nvidia GPUs and Intel 7th-gen Core processors are the focus of the update. The other features such as the sleek and stealthy black look are maintained as the previous models. Both machines also come with some other updates to make them even more effective as gaming and Windows 10 systems, making this upgrade more significant than the typical refresh.
According to AnandTech, the new V Nitro Black Edition laptops come in two great quality features, a 15.6 and 17.3-inch model. Both laptops are with IPS displays and a base offering of 1920x1080 and optional 3840x2160. Acer offers up to 16 GB of memory to the gaming laptops which can be expanded up to 32 GB if you buy your own RAM.
