It's safe to say that the Final Fantasy universe is among the largest franchises in the gaming history, spawning over multiple game titles with two of them (X and XIII) having direct sequels from the main storyline. Ever since its first release way back in 1987, the franchise has already sold 115 million copies worldwide - making it one of the best -selling RPGs in history. Aside from our beloved heroes, the graph also tells us how each title par against each other. Based on the overall gross revenue, Final Fantasy X has had the most profit out of all titles there is (excluding the MMORPG titles) which has now garnered a total $1.72b in gross revenue. In total, the entire RPG series has earned $12 billion in total revenue as of 2016. The franchise also has sold a total of 115 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling franchises in history.
