Exactly How Many iPhone 8s Will Be Launched In 2017?

If you've been following the latest rumors and leaks about the iPhone 8, chances are you've heard and read a lot regarding its model names, specs and features. But how many iPhones will be unveiled this year? Check the details below.

How Many iPhone Models Will There Be In 2017?

Since last year, the iPhone 8 models have been called with many names: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 8 Pro, iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Pro, and iPhone 8 Ferrari. According to the video source, Apple will most likely launch only 3 iPhone models. These models are namely the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, and the rumored premium or flagship model, the iPhone 8.

The iPhone 7s And 7s Plus

For the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, both iPhone models will feature an LCD screen. The iPhone 7s will have a 4.7-inch screen (similar to the iPhone 7), while the iPhone 7s Plus will have a 5.5-inch screen (similar to the iPhone 7 Plus). Screen size aside, another difference is that the iPhone 7s Plus will have a dual-lens camera and possibly a higher screen resolution that is similar to the iPhone 8.

There is also a report that these iPhone models could come in the color red. Perhaps it is an attempt from Apple to help people distinguish the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus with the iPhone 8 or to give it a sense of not-so-inferior look compared to the iPhone 8? It is anybody's guess. But what we do know is that whenever Apple introduces a new color for the iPhone smartphones, that new color model always gets sold-out first.

The iPhone 8

For the iPhone 8's screen size, it will feature a 5.8-inch curved OLED display. To support this curved OLED display rumor, it has been reported that Apple has put in orders to Samsung to produce OLED displays with plastic backing. This iPhone model will also have the best features (well, it is the flagship model): all-glass casing, wireless charging, and a Bluetooth 5.0 which is said to be 4 times greater, 2 times faster, and has 8 times more broadcasting capabilities.

The 5-inch Display Model

Now, just after the leak about an iPhone model codenamed as 'Ferrari' came out last month, a few days later, another leak came out. The revelation pointed that there will be a 5-inch display model. To make things more confusing, some reports are even claiming that the 5-inch measurement is not the screen size, but the actual model size itself. Another complication is that instead of having a dual-lens camera similar to the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7s Plus, it will have a dual-lens camera, but in a vertical position.
