Just as the New Year swept in, good tidings came along with it as Square Enix recently announced that Ariana Grande will be appearing as a new character in the popular mobile game application, “Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius”. Moreover, the said singer recently gave a sneak peek of her in-game character. And now, Square Enix has finally revealed the new character as well as a new song for the video game.
On Jan. 5, Square Enix dropped an official announcement with one of the producers of “Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius” personally delivering the good news. Japanese producer, Kei Hirono has revealed that the collaboration between singer Ariana Grande and “Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius” has finally been made concrete, revealing the remastered version of Ariana Grande’s song “Touch It”. The said song is actually a remix of the original.
Creative director, Nick Wood worked on the remix of Ariana’s “Touch It” and made the pop song suitable to the realm of “Final Fantasy”. Wood revealed that they hired a 52-piece orchestra to work on the remix to produce an interesting hybrid of the song. The song, which can be heard in the video below, surely will be a treat for fans of both “Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius” and the famous pop singer.
Aside from the remix song of “Touch It” that sounds magnificent, Square Enix finally revealed Ariana’s character. One of the producers, Hiroki Fujimoto unveiled that Ariana’s character will be playable. Her character is garbed in a dark bunny outfit, which she donned on the cover of her “Dangerous Woman” album. Fujimoto held back on divulging more information about the new character but did say to tune in for more updates.
The collaboration between “Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius” and Ariana Grande is to celebrate the video game hitting more than 9 million downloads worldwide in just six months and reaching its first anniversary for the Japanese version. Ariana has expressed her gratitude for being part of the mobile game, which she adored, and took it as an honor for her music to be included in it as well. Square Enix debuted “Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius” in October 2015 in Japan and followed with a worldwide released in June 2016.
