The 2017 Detroit Auto Show is only a couple of days away and a lot of people are already very excited to see the newest models from different automakers. Before the show lifts its curtains however, GMC decided to tease a little with its 2018 Terrain. Now the excitement builds up even more as GMC adds one more vehicle to look forward to.
The 2018 GMC Terrain Teaser
According to a report from GM Authority, the teaser image was posted on the official Facebook page of the American automaker. It had a caption that stated "In four days, the bar will be elevated, shattered and left behind." From the statement, it appears that something big is on its way and from the looks of it, the 2018 GMC is off to a good start. Like any other good teaser, the image released by GMC does not reveal much. What is clear however, is that the 2018 Terrain shown is sporting a swooping C-pillars and a floating roofline but that's about all there is.
The 2018 GMC Terrain: The Powertrain
The 2018 GMC Terrain will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that can deliver 170 horsepower and 230 pound-feet of torque. In addition, buyers can also choose to go for the more powerful configuration of a 2.0-liter turbo capable of 252 horsepower that will be delivered by a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The 2018 GMC Terrain: Price Range
Reports state that the price for the 2018 GMC Terrain will likely be higher than the Equinox but the difference would not be too big. The Equinox has a price tag of $24,475 as reported. In any case, the actual price is likely to be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show 2017.
Meeting The 2018 GMC Terrain
Given the fact that the 2017 Detroit Auto Show will take place in a couple of days, all there is left to do at this point is to simply meet the 2018 GMC Terrain there and hear what the automaker has to say. It will certainly be interesting to see the changes in the new model.
