The Dark Knight Rises Again? Will Christian Bale And Christopher Nolan Return For A Justice League Movie?

Christopher Nolan said The Dark Knight Rises would be his final Batman film, but Nolan didn't say anything about a Justice League movie where Batman happens to play a major role.

Rumors about a possible Justice League film have circulated for awhile now, and it was reported that the project was disintegrating following the conclusion to the Dark Knight trilogy and Nolan's subsequent exit from the DC Comics universe, along with Batman himself, Christian Bale.

However, Nolan didn't leave the Warner Bros. family entirely. He's a producer on Zack Snyder's upcoming Man of Steel. Maybe Superman personally asked him to rescue the Justice League project, because Latino Review reports there's a serious chance that Nolan might take the reins:

"After quite the difficult and lengthy investigation, we got to the bottom of what is going on with The Justice League. Warners is trying really hard to keep what's going on under wraps because naturally, they want all the focus to be centered on successfully launching Man Of Steel. That film is an integral piece of The Justice League strategy. By now I'm sure you all heard on the fanboy news circuit, as I been also saying for a while, that Man Of Steel is not only awesome action packed thrill ride, but the superhero movie to beat this summer. Warners is thrilled."

Additionally, Christian Bale already said in an interview with Empire that "If Chris came to me with a script and said, 'You know what? There is another story,' then I would love the challenge of making a fourth one work."

So provided Man of Steel becomes the massive box-office success everyone is expecting it to be, it seems Warner Brothers' next move is to do everything within its power to get Nolan and Bale on board with the Justice League project.
