HTC officially announced its flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One, in February 2013. Now U.S. carrier AT&T has released a video confirming that the 64GB variant of the smartphone will be exclusive only to its network.
The HTC One packs in top-end hardware specifications along with impressive features.
"HTC One lets you rethink your mobile experience with new HTC Sense enhancements including HTC Blinkfeed, HTC Zoe, Sense Voice, Sense TV, and HTC BoomSound," HTC's YouTube video post.
The HTC One is expected to hit the shelves sometime in April 2013 but none of the carriers have confirmed a release date for the phone.
The smartphone has a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. A 1.7 GHz quad core Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 processor powers the smartphones. The HTC One also touts a 2-UltraPixel rear-facing camera.
The HTC One also has 2GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G, high speed HSPA+, micro USB and a 2,300 mAh battery.
It is now known that the 64GB variant of the handset will be available only on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will have to keep their customers happy with the 32GB version of the handset. Verizon has not confirmed if it will offer the handset but even if big red does offer the phone it is unlikely that it will sell the 64GB variant.
AT&T has not confirmed the pricing of the HTC One but it may sell the phone for $199 on a two-year contract. However, we will have to wait until a formal communication is released by the carrier.
The HTC One has all features required in a top-end smartphone to attract potential smartphone buyers. However, with Samsung Galaxy S4 expected to make its way to shelves in April or May 2013, it will be interesting to see if smartphone enthusiasts still opt for the HTC One.
