The grand social streaming platform Twitch is hosting another TwitchCon. The event will be officially held at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in California from October 20th to 22nd. For this year's event, Twitch has secured a limited number of discounted hotel rooms near the convention center. Tickets will available soon on a first come first serve basis on a Twitch booking system on TwitchCon.com.
In the previous year, TwitchCon accumulated around 35,000 visitors with high profile guests including Steve Aoki, T-Pain, and Darude. It was definitely a great increase in the 20,000 attendees that swarmed to the event in 2015. The schedules and ticket prices will still need an official announcement, however, if you already wet your pants from immediate updates, you can sign up here. If you can't be there for the event, just expect to connect with your favorite broadcasters through Twitch's upcoming mobile streaming app.
The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center boasts a main theater and arena. If you're feeling a bit hungry, 150 restaurants in a 10-block radius will be available. The center is also served by three airports.
TwitchCon 2017 is also opening opportunities to set up a booth and is also open to sponsorships. All you need to do is get in touch with the organizers thru exhibitors@twitchcon.com.
"It was through the passion of our creators, exhibitors, and fans that TwitchCon doubled in size in its first two years," said Krystal Herring, a previous streamer and now the Event Director of TwitchCon. Apparently, Twitch's main goal this year is to continue celebrating 'all things Twitch'. This includes the newer broader scope of content on the platform.
Future details and news regarding TwitchCon 2017 will be provided soon enough. Expect announcements to include ticket sales, programming schedule, and call-for-content. Stay up-to-date with the latest news thru signing up for the newsletter on the TwitchCon homepage and following TwitchCon on Twitter.
