There have been lots of changes to Pokemon GO lately. While most are simply good, some just don't sit well to the fans. And what's even quite frustrating is the fact that Niantic chooses to implement these without the knowledge of the community. Among these is the refresh speed of PokeStops, something that has been changed, not for the greater good, but for the worse.
According to a well-known user (Issiech) at The Silph Road, the studio has tweaked the way PokeStops work in Pokemon GO. The player basically refers to the feature's ability to recharge. If the observations are to be true, then it's safe to say that it's slowing down the gameplay of players.
The aforementioned change in Pokemon GO is actually a bitter pill to swallow. This is most especially to trainers who, in one way or another, have lesser access to PokeStops. It's worth noting that the latter is specifically there for the purpose of acquiring game supplies (e.g. Candies, Incense and PokeBalls, among others).
The Reddit user notes that there should only be a total of 3 measurements in Pokemon GO. Apparently though, there's an additional of at least 30 seconds to how long the feature tends to refresh. This, surprisingly, has been recently added to the game.
For instance, a Pokemon GO player decides to spin a certain PokeStop for items. Unless it reaches its designated window, it won't recharge. So, it means that he/she won't have access to any items. Simply put, that trainer won't be able to use the feature. When a PokeStop becomes available for spinning, this should be determined by its color (which should be blue). When it refreshes, it slowly turns into pink. Once it goes back to blue, only then will supplies become available.
Most Pokemon GO players won't notice this change. However, as what other trainers in the said social media site say, this is actually happening. Similar observations have been reported, all pointing to the controversial change.
