More and more leaks are surfacing leading to the great Nintendo Switch reveal on Jan. 12 at Tokyo, Japan. The latest ones come all the way from Germany, Italy and North America.
GameStop Germany leaked the release date and the game lineup of the Switch after an errant employee decided to take a photo of the retail store's computer and it quickly spread online.
The image showed the system's screen which displayed a table containing data such as release date, description, and price of the games.
The release date for most of the game titles shows "19.03.17" while that of "Project Sonic 2017" is dated Nov. 12, 2017.
Some of the games shown in the Switch trailer made it into the list of games in the leak. These included "Mario Kart 8", "Splatoon", "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition", and an NBA game most likely to be "NBA 2K17". Others in the image are "Dragon Quest X", "Dragon Quest XI", Just Dance 2017", "LEGO City: Undercover", " "Monster Hunter", "Zelda: Breath of the Wild", and seven others.
GameStop Germany was not the only guilty party which inadvertently leaked the lineup of Switch game titles. IGN France had a slightly different (or more specific) list of games which included "Splatoon Counterattack", "Super Mario Frost Land", "Super Mario RPG: Rabbid's Invasion", "Minecraft (Nintendo Switch Edition)", "Assassin's Creed Egypt", and "Pikmin World".
A North American GameStop posted the Switch on its website revealing that Pokémon Stars will be part of the console's game list.
"Nintendo Switch games will include new title offerings from Mario, Splatoon, Zelda, the NBA and more! You will even be able to play Skyrim on the go or Pokémon at home with the Nintendo Switch."
With mere days to go before the official Nintendo Switch presentation, it may be wise to hold all expectations especially when it comes to the supposed game titles and other details such as price and release date.
