Avid players of Gears of War 4 will welcome the news that there is a new update that is designed to enhance their gaming experience. This new patch offers new in-game content and new weapon skins. A number of iconic characters as well as new cards are also included in this latest update.
Two New Maps Will Expand The Gameplay
This current update also includes two new maps that make the gameplay more interesting, as well as the Gear Pack season 2. The two maps are called Clockwater and Blood Drive. Clockwater is a map that was sourced from Gears of War 3, and Blood Drive was taken from Gears of War 2.
Rage Quitters Are Now Punished In Gears Of War 4
There is also an update intended to discourage rage quitters of Gears of War 4. This patch will implement the new system that will punish these types of game cheaters. It is basically a temporary soft ban for gamers who quits a game when they are about to lose. Such gamers will suddenly shut out their games, while their opponents are left with a blank screen.
A lot of Gears of War 4 gamers have been complaining about rage quitters. Thankfully, the game developer apparently has heeded their cries and implemented this punishment. Hopefully, rage quitters will take the hint, and stop practicing their cheating ways.
Players who are caught cheating other players by rage quitting will not be able to join any matchmaking for a limited time. But if a gamer rage quits more often, his suspension from the matches will be longer. The game developer hopes that this punishment will prevent players from suddenly dropping out of a game.
Redesigned Player Cards Are Also Included
Included among the updates of Gears of War 4 are the re-designed player cards that will take up reduced visual space. In addition, the player cards can now display respawn timers. The current patch also gives visual indication via the Spectator Mode of players reloading their ammo and weapons being holstered on the back of a player.
