More Kid Friendly Halo Games To Come In The Future?

Just recently, footage of a cancelled Mega Bloks Halo game for the Xbox 360 was released online, and fan response towards the game has been so positive that there is now some buzz going around that there is a possibility that there will be a kid-friendly Halo game coming in the future. 343 Industries, the developers behind Halo have commented on the reception on the positive feedback from the footage.

According to Game Fragger, the community manager for 343 Industries wrote, "Who knows, with so much positive support and feedback coming to light, we may yet see Halo experiences along these lines at some point in the future." That could mean good news for the younger fans who want to get in on the Halo franchise, but could not because of the mature content and themes.

PtoPOnline on YouTube has also reported that Bonnie Ross from 343 Industries has also thanked the fans for the positive feedback. She has also given a small update on the game, and says that it was an experimental project that the developers were working on with Mega Bloks. Sadly, the development was not able to make it past the prototyping phase, but with the enthusiasm and support from the fans, it's possible that a project of the similar vein could come out soon.

It is only logical that Mega Bloks would want to cash in on their license with Halo as rival building-block franchise Lego has been making some pretty great sales when it comes to the video game market. Lego has been able to release several games since the 90s with titles connected to big-name franchises like "Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," "Lord of the Rings" and "Harry Potter." Hopefully Mega Bloks will be able to get their Halo game in the future.

The next game coming to the Halo franchise is Halo Wars 2. It is set for a release on Feb. 21.
