The 2017 CES event was a real treat for tech enthusiasts. And amidst all those announcements and presentations discussed with stunning innovations, there was one device that stood up among those amazing techs and definitely caught the eye of many tech fans.
What's The Device?
Believe or not, it's a smartphone from ZTE. Now, you must be thinking, "ZTE? Come on." Well, during the 2017 CES event, the company presented a prototype version of the ZTE "Hawkeye" which is a self-adhesive eye tracking smartphone. Essentially, what this device does is it lets you read, watch and scroll through text messages with the use of your eyes by looking up, down, left, or right. You can even stick it up to mirrors or walls while you brush your teeth or anything you can think of as scan through those messages.
According to the Android Headlines, ZTE has just announced the specifications for the ZTE Hawkeye. Though it is not a full list of the device's specs and features, it is still interesting nonetheless. Here are the specs and features:
Price And Launch Date
The reported retail price of the ZTE Hawkeye is $199. For its release date, the device will be available in September which was mentioned by another source.
Design And Display
The ZTE Hawkeye will sport a Type-C USB port and a Fingerprint Scanner located at the back. It will feature a 5.5-inch screen.
Processor And Camera
The ZTE Hawkeye will pack a Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor and will run on Android Nougat, but the company did not specify which version of the Nougat: Android 7.0 or 7.1. For the camera, it will feature a dual-rear 13 MP and 12 MP camera with an OIS (optical image stabilization) feature.
Battery
Lastly for its battery spec, the ZTE Hawkeye will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. It will also have Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging feature technology as well.
