The said game will also be featured on Nintendo's upcoming console called Nintendo Switch. The gameplay involves tapping the screen for Mario to jump over the obstacles or beat some of the series' classic foes.

Meanwhile, Shigeru Miyomoto, creator of Super Mario, talked about his efforts regarding the development of the stages and making sure that players will be comfortable playing with only one hand. As reported, Super Mario Run offers its first three stages for free while unlocking the remaining levels costs them $10. Players will be receiving an amount of 20 levels including several bonuses if they choose to buy the game.

On the other hand, the game's reveal caused a great havoc to the mobile world as it has been downloaded for over 40 million times as to date. In addition, the app generated $14 Million revenue during its first three days making it the highest grossing app title. Though Super Mario Run failed to retain the top spot, the number of downloads is still increasing. Overall, the game received a fair amount of criticisms as it is an internet-dependent game.
