Apple is expected to refresh its iPad line this 2017. Rumor has it that three new iPads will be revealed. However, as per recent reports, fans may see a delay in the release of the new Apple iPads. It was said that these three new devices might have to wait until summer before being made official.

Apple iPad 2017 Release

According to GSM Arena, the new iPad devices bound for 2017 release are still in planning. One of the three devices is expected to start its manufacturing Q1 of this year while the other two could start theirs by Q2 of this year. It was said that the reason for this delay is that the A10X chipset that is bound to make its way to two of the iPads is still in production, and apparently, Apple may not want to do a staggered iPad release.

Apple iPad 2017 Devices

As per Apple Insider, Apple is expected to release a new 10 or 10.5 inch iPad alongside an updated 12.9 inch iPad Pro and a budget-friendly 9.7 inch iPad model. The source of this valuable info is none other than Ming-Chi Kuo, the reliable analyst that has a strong track record of giving accurate predictions of Apple's plans. Needless to say, Kuo's recent note about the 2017 iPads did not include an update to the iPad Mini. This could suggest that the 7.9 inch iPad line may have to wait a little longer before it gets refreshed. Nevertheless, there have also been reports from the past saying that the iPad Mini 4 could be the last iPad Mini in line.

As for the upcoming iPads, two of which will be premium by nature and one will be low-priced. The 12.9 inch and the 10/10.5 inch models are expected to be powered by the powerful A10X chip. The budget 9.7 inch iPad on the other hand, will be powered by the A9 chip, which actually isn't so bad. The A9 chip is the processor found on the iPhone 6S.
