With everyone going on ad nauseum about the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S4, not to mention the flurry of news that still comes up about all things Samsung Galaxy Note 2, it's easy to forget that Samsung has a brand new tablet coming out: the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet was put on display at this year's international Mobile World Congress, and will now definitely be available in the U.S. on Thursday, April 11.
According to Tech Crunch, the 16GB, Wi-Fi-only Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 — which is already available in the UK — will be going on sale here in the U.S. for $399.
As we've mentioned in previous reportage on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, the tablet is said to have an 8-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and will run Full HD video at 30fp. The Samsung Galaxy Note will also run on a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos and Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 will also have 2GB of RAM and its 16GB storage can be expanded to 64GB via microSD card. There are allegedly 3G/LTE versions of the Note 8.0 in the works at Samsung, as well.
"I've only been playing with the Note 8.0 for a few days so I feel it's still a little premature to pass judgment on it, but my impressions haven't changed much since the last time we spent some time together — it seems just as snappy as expected," Tech Crunch's analyst says in his report.
