Gravity Rush 2 has additional gravity styles for Kat to use in the sequel. These new powers can help her defeat the Nevi in the game.
The Old And New Gravity Styles
Kat only has one gravity style in the original game. In the sequel though, she has two more new ones. Her basic gravity power is also known as Normal Style and this is the default setting of the game. Players though can activate two more new ones.
One is called the Lunar Style which makes Kat lighter. Once unlock, players can jump higher and move faster. Attacks like Gravity Kicks are swifter than normal. The third one is the Jupiter Style which makes Kat heavier and slower. Enemies though will incur heavier damages from her punches and kicks.
Unlocking The New Gravity Styles
Kat can unlock the Lunar Style in the game mission called "And the Soldier's Wife?" Meanwhile, the Black Eagle mission will require Kat to aid Raven against a strong enemy attack. This is the time that Kat will get the Jupiter gravity style. As mentioned before, this power will make players heavier but makes their attacks more powerful against the approaching enemies. Interestingly, Jupiter is very effective when it comes to large waves of enemies. This is because the style generates a Black Hole that sucks enemies unfortunate enough to be near it. On the other hand, Kat gets new kicking abilities that generate shockwaves that can hurt enemies who get near it.
Shifting Gravity Styles
Kat can shift within the three gravity styles easily. Players simply need to use the DualShock 4 Touchpad to change styles. Players only need to flick their finger on the upper part of the Touchpad to shift to Lunar Style. A tap will bring Kat to Normal Gravity Style. Flick below the Touchpad to change to Jupiter Style. A Gravity Rush 2 preview trailer is currently available right now for those new to the game.
