Everyone wants to know what the iPhone 5S specs and features are, along with its release date. While Apple continues its tradition of stone-cold silence, hints are surfacing that the iPhone 5S will be offered in two or three different screen sizes.
The news comes courtesy of Brian White, an analyst at Topeka Capital, who cited a "tech supply-chain company" as his source and made the claim in an investors note. He's made this prediction before, too, saying that Apple would also be releasing its future phones with more color choices.
"We believe Apple is coming around to the fact that one size per iPhone release does not work for everyone, and offering consumers an option has the potential to expand the company's market share," White said in the note, according to CNET.
Although no sizes were mentioned, it might be possible that Apple is looking to expand into the phablet market while simultaneously pleasing customers who are happy with the iPhone 5's current size. If White proves to be correct, a 5-inch iPhone 5S could be a possibility here, though it's unknown what a third screen size would be.
In addition to iPhone 5S speculation, there are rumors swirling about the iPhone mini, the alleged cheaper iPhone that Apple is prepping. White said that the new handset would be out this summer alongside the iPhone 5S.
"Our research is now indicating that we should not expect the price to dip below $300 and those expecting a $150 to $200 iPhone will be disappointed," White said. "We have previously discussed an [average selling price] of $250 to $300 for a lower priced iPhone; however, a price tag of $300 to $350 now makes more sense."
