China-Exclusive Nokia 6 Went Out of Stock In Just 60 Seconds

Nokia 6 just went on a flash sale in China through JD.com and the latest reports reveal that all the units were sold out in just a minute. The e-commerce site has already been expecting this influx of buyers. The mid-range phones from Nokia has been quite a hit in the country and there have been almost a million registrations since Jan. 4.

HMD Global, the company behind this release, did not announce how many units were made available to buyers during this flash sale. There are some speculations that this release is just a way to test how the market would respond to the latest smartphones from Nokia. If this flash sale is any indication, HMD Global should be focusing on more releases since the loyal followers of the popular mobile phone brand still exist.

Nokia 6 Handsets

It has been three years since Nokia released its last smartphone. Nokia 6 which will be released exclusively in China will be the first Android smartphone ever since Nokia hit a slump. Nokia 6 is a 5.5-inch mobile handset and it is powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC.

The device also comes with a 4GB RAM, a 16-megapixel main camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera. The mid-range phone runs on the latest Android OS, Android 7.0 Nougat.

Nokia Smartphone Releases

Despite being one of the biggest mobile phone companies, Nokia lost out to Apple and Samsung during the boom of smartphones. This time, the company plans to upgrade its mobile phone offerings and according to the latest reports, Nokia 6 is just the first of a long list of smartphones from the company.

Since Nokia 6 is just a mid-range phone and not a flagship phone, customers are expecting better things from the company. In fact, many customers showed much interest in the leaked images of what is supposed to be the Nokia 8. The company is also expected to make a big announcement during MWC 2017 and it is expected that Nokia will reveal other phones that it plans to launch aside from Nokia 6.
