Verizon HTC Droid DNA Phablet $39

The Droid DNA features a 5-inch 1080p 441ppi (pixels per inch) SUPER-LCD 3 display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, Gorilla Glass 2, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense, a Qualcomm quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front camera, 1080p HD video recording, 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HDMI out port, 2,020mAh battery, a waterproof case, NFC (near field communications) and built-in wireless charging.

When HTC designed the Droid DNA it wanted to build a phablet with a phablet-sized display without making the smartphone too wide and uncomfortable to hold, as are most current phablets on the market. The Droid DNA offers all of the benefits of having a large screen but it still remains pocket-friendly, and can be used comfortably with one hand.

The HTC Droid DNA's screen even has a better display than Apple's iPhone 5's Retina Display. The iPhone 5 packs a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 1136 x 640 and 326ppi, compared to the Droid DNA's 1080 x 1920 and 441ppi. HTC has laminated the Droid DNA's screen to eliminate reflections, which comes in very handy when you're using the smartphone outside in direct sunlight.

One of the best features of the Droid DNA is its wireless charging out of the box. Once you start using a smartphone that can charge wirelessly it is hard to ever go back to plugging a cable into your smartphone. The Droid DNA can be used with almost every Qi-based wireless charging system on the market, all at different price points.

The Verizon HTC Droid DNA is available through Wirefly for $49.99 when sigining a new two-year contract, if you're upgrading, the Droid DNA will cost $79.99. When checking out, enter code TB20 to get an extra $10 off, which will bring the cost of the phablet down to $39.
