Vampires are finally in. The Sims 4 just received the Vampires Game Pack that brought new stuff, new interactions and most importantly, the children of the night. The vampire life has many perks like powers, but it also has some weaknesses you need to take into account. Nevertheless, if you want your Sims to have that pale complexion and a dead look in the eyes, read on to find out how to become a vampire.
Ask A Vampire Friend Nicely
If you already have a Sims in mind that you want to be immortal, then you can befriend a vampire in your The Sims 4 neighborhood. Wait for one to visit your lot, but expect it to be at night since this is when they can freely roam. Brush up your social skills and talk to them and befriend them the Sims way: by striking up a friendly conversation every minute.
As you build a bond, the "Ask to Turn" request will eventually pop up. This will allow your vampire friend to drink Plasma from you and then you will have to drink from them, completing the process. The "vamprification" doesn't happen right away in The Sims 4, though, like in the third installment.
The vampirification process actually takes a few days and your Sims will be uncomfortable all throughout. The Sims 4 will guide you through, so don't worry. You will even be given Plasma packs by the vampire who turned out for an easier transition period.
Add A Vampire Sim In CAS
The method I prefer, though, is just creating a vampire Sim from the get-go. The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack brought over a new neighborhood called Forgotten Hollow (this is where you can visit the vampire in the mansion, who you can befriend). I like starting new families in new neighborhoods, so this works for me.
In Create-a-Sim, click the "+" button in the bottom left of the screen. Then, choose to add a vampire - that simple. This way, you have more control over the appearance, clothes and more of your Dark Form (which appears when you do vampire stuff like drinking Plasma).
Or, Make A Vampire Baby
Another way you can add a vampire into your family in The Sims 4 is via Woohoo. A baby can get vampirism through a vampire parent, so you can try and get one by having a vampire "Try for a Baby" with a romantic interest.
Two vampires can also Woohoo or Try for a Baby as bats, but only if they both have the ability to turn as such. If you so choose this option, they will do the deed right there and then. However, I imagine the coffin to be more comfortable.
How To Turn Back Into A Human
Vampire life not working out for you? Then you can follow these steps to give up immortality. First, level up the Vampire Lore skill. Get a Plasma fruit, 10 garlic and a wolfsbane. Have your Sims drink the potion to strip them of their powers (or have other Sims take it instead).
Vampires will add a lot of fun (or wreak havoc) in our The Sims 4 lives. With all the new powers, traits and other cool stuff, there will be millions of stories on vampires coexisting with humans.
