Lumia 520, 620, 720, 820 Or Lumia 920: Which Nokia Device Is The Best Value For Money? (Video)

Finland-based Nokia boasts a solid lineup of WP8-powered Lumia smartphones, which range from the low to mid to high-end. The Lumia smartphones cater to all market segments and have struck a chord with consumers in a short span of time.

But which WP8 Lumia smartphone is the best? To answer this question, the folks at Recombu posted a round-up of Nokia's full WP8 range: the Nokia Lumia 520, 620, 720, 820 and 920.

Recombu also gave a low-down on the specs and revealed its favorite from the lot. We take a look at the overview:

Lumia 520

The budget-friendly 4-inch Lumia 520, per the site is "a well specced phone." Even though the smartphone does not carry primary and secondary cameras, the lack of these features justifies the affordable $154 price of the entry-level handset.

Lumia 620

The 3.8-inch WVGA display of the Lumia 620 is sharper than that of the Lumia 520. The smartphone even has a 5-megapixel primary camera, 8GB of storage (with the option to expand via a microSD card) and a 1GHz dual-core processor.

This fun phone which is "smart inside and out" costs $230 ($76 more than the Lumia 520), which according to Recombu is the "best you can get right now for the price."

Lumia 720

Those willing to dole out an additional $155 to $230 will be able to bag themselves the Lumia 720. The smartphone features a 4.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and is powered by a Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1GHz processor. The smartphone packs in 8GB of internal storage (expandable to 64GB) and features a 6.7-megapixel primary camera with f/1.9 lens and a 1.3-megapixel secondary camera.

Recombu notes that the "viewing angles are very, very good, as is the general picture. With its unibody design, the 720 is also markedly more distinguished a handset."

Lumia 820

Dishing out $570 would make you the proud owner of the Lumia 820, which sports a 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution (217 ppi).

"Its screen is also an AMOLED for purer blacks and more punchy colours. The perks of the 820 don't stop there though. It packs considerably more power under the hood, with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM," notes Recombu.

Lumia 920

The big daddy of the WP8-powered Lumia phones is a best seller. The Lumia 920 packs in a 4.5-inch 720p display with Nokia's Pure Motion HD+ tech, for a smoother refresh rate.

"Its key seller is its camera crammed with optical image stabilisation, but it really is the best Lumia in every respect," notes Recombu.

Moreover, the unibody design makes the phone quite sturdy.

And the winner is...

The Lumia 720 is the phone of choice. Why? As Recombu notes, "Its slender elegance and balance of power sits well in our hand and pocket. It also seems like the design continuation of the seminal Lumia 800, a classic in our eyes."
