ASUS has just announced its slimmest laptops to date, ZenBook UX430 and ZenBookUX530. These two ultraportable laptops are equipped with discrete GPU delivering high performance. According to representatives of ASUS, their innovations became the thinnest in the world of laptops with discrete graphics cards.
ZenBook UX430 and ZenBook UX530 Design, Specs And Features
Both models feature a metal body and thin frames around the display. The ASUS ZenBook UX430 has a thickness of 15.9 mm and with a weight of 1.25 kilograms. The laptop is available in two variants with Full HD screen on 13 and 14 inches. The display is anti-glare and the bezel surrounding it is ultra-thin at a whisker over 7mm, and boasting 100% sRGB color coverage.It's powered by a choice of Kaby Lake processors which is Core i3, i5 or up to a Core i7-7500U packed by the mentioned discrete GeForce 940MX graphics solution (with 2GB of video memory) and up to 16GB DDR4 2133MHz system RAM.
As for the UX530 concerns, that's built pretty much the same except it's a bigger notebook comes with a 15.6-inch display, and it gets a dose of extra oomph in the form of a more beefier GPU - the GeForce GTX 950. This larger Zenbook features many of the UX430 qualities but thanks to its larger size can fit a full sized HDMI port and can be packed with the more powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 GPU. This larger machine has a 15.6-inch anti-glare slim bezel display, is just 16.9mm thick, and also weighs 1.63Kg.
ZenBook UX430 and ZenBook UX530 Availability And Price
Asus sells the ZenBook UX530 in Royal Blue with the crystal-like NIL coating, or in Quartz Grey with the classic sandblasted spun-metal finish while UX430 zenBook will be available in gold, gray and pink variants. Both the Asus ZenBook UX430 and UX 530 will become available from Q2 in the UK. The exact release date and price ultra-thin laptops are not yet known.
