When the Vivo V5 came out last year, it was praised by many for its amazing front camera and was dubbed as the number one selfie phone in the world. Now, there is a new Vivo smartphone and it is packed with more powerful specs and features. The name is Vivo V5 Plus and here are its specs and features:
The Price And Launch Date
The Vivo V5 Plus costs Rs 27,980 ($410). It was announced this month and was just released a few days ago.
The Body Design
The Vivo V5 Plus features an all-metal body which looks great and really feels like a premium smartphone. Its body dimensions are 6.01 x 2.91 x 0.24 inches and weighs 158.6 grams. Its casing color design comes in two colors: Gold and Gray.
Regarding its Home Button, it has a Fingerprint Sensor embedded on it. Another thing worth mentioning is its rear camera design, it is quite similar to the camera design of the iPhone 7 Plus.
The Display
The Vivo V5 Plus features a 5.5 inch IPS LCD Capacitive Touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is also protected by corning gorilla glass 5.
The Platform
The Vivo V5 Plus runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 chip, a good improvement compared to its predecessor's chipset, the Vivo V5 which only featured a MediaTek 6750 chip. Its CPU is an octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 and its GPU is an Adreno 506.
The Memory
The Vivo V5 Plus features an internal memory of 64 GB with 4 GB of RAM. Sadly, it doesn't have an expandable memory option.
The Camera
Just like its predecessor, the Vivo V5 Plus also comes with amazing camera features, but much better. First, let's talk about its rear camera. The rear camera is a 16 MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.
If the iPhone 7 Plus has a dual-rear camera set-up, the Vivo V5 Plus has a dual-front camera set-up. Yes, its two lenses are 20 MP and 8 MP also with an aperture of f/2.0. This is to achieve that creamy, blurry background on your smartphone.
To do this, you just have to launch your selfie camera and turn on the "Bokeh" mode. There is also a feature called Face Beauty mode that removes blemishes, softens your skin tone, and whitens your skin. And just when that 20 MP, 8 MP selfie camera features couldn't get any better, it also has an enhanced beautification mode that further offers its users a much better experience and easy way to take excellent selfies.
The Battery
The Vivo V5 Plus comes with a 3160 mAh battery. There is no information yet regarding its battery performance, but what we do know based on the released specs is that it has a fast charging feature. Well, at least there is because its predecessor did not have any.
The Conclusion
Based on the specs and features of the Vivo V5 Plus, it seems like Vivo has put a lot of effort in improving this new smartphone, especially with the front-facing camera and its processor. Hopefully, it will perform better compared to its predecessor.
