Apple's iPad mini was first announced in October 2012 as the fifth major iPad incarnation and the first to have a smaller screen size of 7.9 inches (as opposed to the traditional 9.7 inches). This "mini tablet" was first released in November 2012 and was made available throughout the world.

When the iPad mini was first released in India in early December, the going price was Rs. 21,900. But now you can get an iPad mini in India for as low as Rs. 21,499, a price difference of Rs. 400.
