Yesterday, HTC introduce the Vive Video, a video player for VR Headset. It will support all 2D, 3D, 180˚ and 360˚ content. "HTC Creative Labs presents Vive Video—a video player for virtual reality. With support for 2D, 3D, 180˚ and 360˚ content, Vive Video turns your personal video library into a virtual home theater."
According to Engadget, Vive video supports all the viewing options to make the user's environment as much of a realistic theater or distraction-free cinema. In addition, thanks to those positional sensors, the VR headset wearers can move around in the surround videos and watch as it adapts to their perspective.
All the Vive owners have already had the Vive Home Cinema app and any quantity of third-party players to choose from, but this new update looks a little more polished. The app is accessible in the VivePort app store and comes with a teaser for the Invasion! 360 VR from Baobab Studios. From the director of Madagascar and narrated by Ethan Hawke, Invasion! is a VR story about two aliens named as Mac and Cheez, with the grand ambitions of taking over our world.

As described by its own site, Vive Video provides an immersive, cinematic viewing experience for standard, 3D, 180˚as well as 360˚ videos in VR Headset. The simple interface and intuitive controls of the gadget were designed by HTC’s Creative Labs team that works seamlessly with the Vive system.
