Previously, the Nokia Lumia 720 had only started taking pre-orders in India, but now you can buy the handset for Rs. 18999 via an Indian online retailer.
The Nokia Lumia 720 went on pre-order in India for Rs.16999 ($299 approximately) via eBay awhile ago. Now Flipkart is selling the Windows Phone 8 (WP8)-powered device for Rs.18999 ($349 approximately).
Flipkart is currently selling the black and white variants of the phone, while the yellow, cyan and red versions of the phone have a "Coming Soon" tag on the website.
The Lumia 720 sports impressive features in its category. The handset has a 4.3-inch IPC LCD display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution and 217 pixels per inch (ppi). A 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8227 processor and a 512 MB of RAM powers the smartphone. The Lumia 720 includes 8GB of on-board space, with expandable memory of up to an additional 64GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-megapixel Carl Zeiss optics primary camera with autofocus and LED flash. The handset also includes a 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper. The Lumia 720 has a 2000mAh battery, with which you can get up to 520 hours of standby time and up to 13 hours 20 minutes of talk time on 3G.
The Lumia 720 looks very similar to the Lumia 920 from a distance. Both the smartphones are similar in size and the Lumia 720 measures 5.04 x 2.66 x 0.35 inches, while the Lumia 920 is slightly larger at 5.13 x 2.79 x 0.42 inches. At 4.52 ounces, the Lumia 720 is lighter when compared to the 6.53 ounces of the Lumia 920, which makes the former more comfortable in the hand.
