When Pokemon GO Plus was first introduced, its sales quickly skyrocketed. But of course, along with its rise, the stocks eventually diminished. As a result, some fans weren't able to get hold of it. Well, the course will soon be changed. That's because Niantic is planning to release a different one. This one, it's more of giving importance to players' safety.
According to Nikkei, the studio is set to bring a brand new Pokemon GO device. The very own president of The Pokemon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara revealed the big news. He iterated that this tool will guarantee the safety of all players -- something that has been their primary goal since day one. And take note: it's going to be a bigger one compared to the above mentioned device.
It's worth noting that ever since Pokemon GO was released, the number of accidents (due to the game) quickly rose. This even resulted to some government agencies, across the globe, banning the game. The aforementioned executive explained that day by day, they're worried about people being too "engrossed" in their mobile devices. That by doing so, they become unaware of what's happening in their surroundings.
Ishihara said that this was also the main goal of Pokemon GO Plus, a device known for being linked to a person's smartphone to bring the gameplay a notch higher. In its most organic form, it's a wearable tech. Developing the said device was all about preventing players from looking too much on the screens of their phones. In partnership with Nintendo, the massive company wants to offer a device that can be used or played more safely than before.
As of this writing, it remains a mystery as to what exactly this Pokemon GO device is. So far, nothing specific has been revealed. Except of course the facts that The Pokemon Company president revealed. Nonetheless, reports suggest that more information about this tool will soon surface in the next few weeks or so. After all, the company is believed to release it anytime this year.
