Here Is Why The Chuwi Lapbook Is Not Only Amazing But Also Affordable

A YouTube channel that goes by the name Zi Reviews Tech did a review regarding the Chuwi Lapbook. The Chuwi Lapbook has two variants, a 15.6-inch version, and a 14.1-inch version, but on the video source, the 14-inch was the one featured.

Body Design

The Chuwi Lapbook has a body dimension of 12.96 x 8.68 x 0.81 inches. It features a plastic body which is not considered high quality for a laptop and can be flexed but is nevertheless quite sturdy somehow. And because it features a plastic design, it is surprising light. It only weighs 1.740 kg.

On the right side of the laptop, you will find a USB port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot. And at its left side, you will find a micro HDMI port and another USB port as well.

For its screen design, it has thin bezels which make it quite appealing, but you may be a little disappointed with the keyboard. One is it has a lot of travel, while the quality is good.

The trackpad is amazing for a Chinese laptop and with its price range. All the gestures work pretty well and the accurate is accurate.

Display

The Chuwi Lapbook featured in the video source had a 14.1-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Though it is bright enough, its screen quality is a bit muted compared to high-end laptops. Also, you may want to avoid using it in direct sunlight, because it will suffer from visibility.

Audio Performance

The audio performance is average. It does have a little bass and is moderately loud, but when a person with loud voice talks, you won't be able to hear it. So it would be best to use a speaker or headphones instead.

As for its gaming performance, it was able to play Dota 2 at 1080p@25-30fps and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 at 1080p@25-28fps. Overall, casual games are fine, but heavy games are not that good.

In regards about heating, the Chuwi Lapbook does not really get that warm. However, you may also notice that the heat is concentrated on the left side of the keyboard.

Battery

The Chuwi Lapbook is powered by a 9,000 mAh battery. With this according to the source, it can last for up to 7 hours of screen-on time. For light tasks, owners will find no problem with lasting its battery life throughout the day without charging.
