Gears Of War 4 News: Xbox One vs PC Cross-Play Is Finally Live, Here's What We Know

The Coalition just allowed players from Xbox One and PC to fight in Gears of War 4. The developer let the players participate in Cross-Play in order to interact with other players from different consoles. The competitive play is available in Social Quick playlist.

Everything You Need To Know About Cross-Play In Gears Of War 4?

According to Polygon, The Coalition decided to launch Cross-Play in Gears of War 4 in order to make the gameplay more competitive. The developer is determined to make the matches challenging and will bring a better gameplay experience for all of them.

Last month, The Coalition tried Cross-Play in Gears of War 4 and tested how will players react with the versus mode. The developer has observed what the versus mode brought in the game. There are 115,000 participants and the XB1 players are the majority.

In addition, during the weekend, 90 percent of the matches are combination of PC and XB1 players. The Coalition was ecstatic when social lobbies of Gears of War 4 have more users than before. That is the reason why the developer decided to launch the full version of Cross-Play.

The Reason Why Cross-Play Is Not Allowed In Other Playlists

Cross-Play will not be supported by Gears of War 4's Core and Competitive playlists. The Coalition wants to make the matches in the playlists to be exclusive and be different from Social Quick playlist, as per PC Gamer.

However, The Coalition might provide different matches in Gears of War 4's Core and Competitive playlists in the PC version. The players just have to wait as to when the developer will be releasing new matches in the two playlists.

The Coalition is making sure that Gears of War 4 will be enjoyable than before. The developer is determined to give its fans the best they deserve because of the previous issues that they have encountered before.
