LG's Upcoming Android Smartwatch To Start At $249

Nowadays, the smartwatch market might be in hovels, but that hasn't stopped both Google and LG in pushing to release an affordable Android Wear. Far from people's expectation, LG's upcoming Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches to be all that affordable. According to a report, the LG Watch Style may start the at $249.

According to 9to5Google, we can expect the basic Watch Style of LG to retail around $249 in the US or $329 in Australia. Until now, it is unclear exactly what factors will affect the pricing on this LG's Android watch. But it feels likely that a different band, perhaps metal, or a different casing will spike the price by $50 to $100.

By comparison, the prevailing front runner when it comes to pricing on Android Smart Wear is the ASUS’ ZenWatch 3, which starts at $229. In the meantime, other wearable flagship devices options, such as the Huawei Watch, start at much higher prices even though it commonly goes on sale. At $249, LG and Google definitely have hit the sweet spot in pricing but leaves the question of what it can offer compare to the other wearable tech.

Features Of LG's Upcoming Watch Style

According to IndianExpress, LG Watch Style will be coming with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The most anticipate Watch Style of LG is also expected to bring a 1.2-inch AMOLED circular display and 360 × 360 pixels resolution. Aside from that, it will also boast a 240mAh battery and 512mb of RAM.

LG’s upcoming smartwatch, the LG Watch Style that has been leaked in Gold and Rose Gold colors. It will also be getting IP67 water and dust resistance, as well as the compatibility with any iOS devices. It can also feature a heart rate sensor, but this feature is possible to be seen on LG Watch Sport which is said to be bigger compared to the LG Watch Style.

LG will be launching its two new Android smartwatches on February 9. The smartwatches will also be featuring at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in late-February. The global rollout of the wearables is expected through February and into March.
