Mass Effect Andromeda will be available soon. However, players of different platforms will not be allowed to encounter with other players. The good news is that BioWare will allow multiplayer campaign in the game instead and hope that players will appreciate the feature.
Cross-Play In Mass Effect Andromeda Is Not An Option
According to Bleeding Cool, BioWare is not planning to include cross-play in Mass Effect Andromeda. Fernando Melo, the game's producer, tweeted that the team has no plans in including the interaction of the players using different consoles.
Melo further added that the multiplayer would be within the circle using the same platforms. A lot of players are hoping that there is a chance that Mass Effect Andromeda will have cross-play since they think that it will be nice to play with gamers from various platforms.
As per PC Gamer, Melo compared the multiplayer campaign that will be seen in Mass Effect Andromeda similar to that of Mass Effect 3 and noted that the campaign will also feature dedicated servers. For now, players may need to wait for any new announcement from BioWare if there will be a chance of offering cross-play in the future.
