Final Fantasy XV Latest News: Square Enix Will Hold Active Time Report Next Month To Reveal FFXV Expansion Plans

Square Enix has recently announced that they will be unveiling their plans for the upcoming Final Fantasy XV DLC in a special Active Time Report stream using their Japanese YouTube channel. This special event is scheduled on Feb. 2, 2017. It seems that there will be some details about the free updates that will come out for Xbox One and PS4 during the livestream event.

The Livestream Will Reveal The Developer's Future Plans

Director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata, is reported to be included in the discussion as well as Akio Ofuji, marketing manager. The report said that the two will discuss the game's future. Tabata was quoted in the report saying that they will introduce update and DLC information. The livestream may also include his video message.

The Event Will Feature A Mystery Guest

There will be a mystery guest, but it is still unclear who it will be. Some information about the upcoming DLC expansions and updates of Final Fantasy XV has been teased by Tabata previously. He also gave some reasons why they decided to continuously update the game after its launch.

Tabata also commented on the debate that has risen because of their plans to continue giving updates to Final Fantazy XV. He said it might have been because of their plans to update a single-player game. He mentioned that fans who are used to the traditional gameplay of Final Fantasy may feel uneasy about their current initiatives.

Fans Are Wondering Who The Mysterious Guest Is

To some fans, Square Enix's announcement that said the event will show a video message from "that person" was kind of strange. It is uncertain who that person is, if he is involved in the development of the game, or perhaps one of its characters. Fans will just have to wait a few more days to see for themselves.

The Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report will go livestream at 20:00 Japan Standard Time on Feb. 2, 2017. This corresponds to 8:00 a.m. EST. Fans who might want to see what's going to be discussed and revealed by Tabata and Ofuji need to watch the livestream.
