More tidbits regarding the upcoming Man Of Steel continue to emerge, and this week is no exception, with some new photos from the film depicting a character we haven't seen much of until now.
The character is Faora, a Kryptonian villain played by German actress Antje Traue (Pandorum). Faora is a variation of the character Ursa, played by Sarah Douglas, who was General Zod's lieutenant in 1980's Superman 2. The character has appeared in several guises in the comic books, which leads us to wonder how exactly she will be featured in Man Of Steel. In the new pictures Traue is shown complete with Kryptonian armor.
Along with these pictures we now have a picture of Zod's lieutenant getting up close and personal with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Superman (Henry Cavill). You can see the images of Faora here.
With Iron Man 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness coming up, we can expect to see information about The Man Of Steel continue to surface over the coming weeks. This will also hopefully include a trailer that explains more of what we're seeing in these images.
Director Zack Snyder recently revealed some spoiler-filled details about the film which will likely be surprising for Superman fans out there. We also saw the first TV spot for the film, which is shorter than the trailers but has some new footage.
Man of Steel arrives in theatres June 14, 2013. The film is directed by Zack Snyder with a story by David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan.
