Phil Spencer Tells Gamers To Hold Their Pre-Orders For The Xbox Scorpio Until After The Presentation

A lot of hype is building around the release of Microsoft's Xbox One Scorpio, and Xbox Head, Phil Spencer, seems to be very confident with the product. As of now, he's telling eager gamers not to pre-order the Scorpio until they've seem the games running on the console.

Don't Pre-Order Just Yet

When asked on Twitter when the Scorpio could be pre-ordered, Spencer simply answered, "Wait until we show you games on it before you pre-order." It's a very pro-customer attitude, and Spencer looks like he has nothing but the utmost confidence that the Scorpio will wow audiences once it's announced.

There's no doubt that pre-order culture has become more prevalent with the games that are coming out today. A lot of fans have been known to put down money over hyped things that they have no idea about, and they are usually disappointed when the product finally comes in. Not to mention, pre-ordering has made a lot of developers release some unfinished games just to meet with a game's deadline. It's nice to see that the head of Xbox is thinking about the customer.

What Is The Xbox One Scorpio?

Much like the PS4 Pro, the Xbox One Scorpio is considered to be an upgrade on the Xbox that is powerful enough to play games with a 4K resolution. With the PS4 Pro receiving lukewarm reviews upon release, all eyes are now on Microsoft to see if the Scorpio is as powerful as the company claims it will be. CEO of Moon Studios, Thomas Mahler, has even praised the Scorpio, saying that the PS4 Pro is only a "half-assed upgrade" when compared to the Scorpio.

As of now, people are speculating that the Xbox One Scorpio will be revealed this coming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 which starts June 13 and ends June 15.
