Overwatch Pro Players Suspended After Multiple Relationships With Fans

Two iconic pro Overwatch players have been seemingly suspended after cheating with several fans. On the other hand, learn when the current competitive season will most likely end.

Pro Overwatch Players Dropped From Their Teams

According to PvP Line, two players under Lunatic-Hai have been suspended from participating in the OGN's APEX Season 2. Players Geum "dean" Dong-geun and Lee "Leetaejun" Tae-jun have been reported for 'fan fraternization' as they have allegedly been maintaining multiple online relationships.

Moreover, the two have supposedly been exchanging photos with these female fans over Kakaotalk and Twitter. However, none of the said respective followers were aware that the two men were entertaining other women. In line with this, the dating scene in 'Korea' places strict rules when it comes to dating as those in a relationship should be strictly committed to each other.

Since Lunatic-Hai is a high profile team, their actions have had a negative impact on the overall organization. The management has recently released a statement claiming that the team must take the necessary precautions to prevent another said scandal. Because of this, the Lunatic-Hai team now composes of core six players instead of the original eight.

Next Competitive Season Coming Soon?

That aside, it seems like the current competitive season for the game might ending soon, as per Mic. Players should take the opportunity to achieve their desired placement before the game takes a short break to resume the next season. While Blizzard has yet to make any official statements, looking back at the previous seasons might hint the next cycle.

Season 2 began on Sept. 1 and lasted roughly 11 weeks before ending on Nov. 23. With this in mind, the current season should end around the second half of February since it began back on Dec. 1. Those who completed their placement matches will get a special Volskaya-themed spray and a number of competitive points based on their current rank:

Bronze players will earn 100 points while those in Silver will get 200. On the other hand, Gold ranked players will get 400 and fans in the Platinum rank will have 800 points. Diamond players will get 1,200 points, Masters will earn 2,000 and the skilled Grandmaster ranked gamers will get a whopping 3,000 points.

Players who are aiming to buy golden weapons should try and push their way up to a higher skill tier as the items cost 3,000 points. For those who want to experience the thrill of competing in Overwatch, they can play the game on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
