'My Hero Academia' Season 2 Premiere Moved To March 25; Additional Casts Revealed

Fans will get to see "My Hero Academia" season 2 a little bit earlier. The anime premiere was moved to March 25 instead of the original April schedule. It will air on Nippon TV and Yomiuri TV every Saturdays at 5:30 pm. Additional casts from U.A. University Class 1-B were also revealed.

"My Hero Academia" season 2 was announced on the last episode of the first anime season. In December, Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed the April premiere. The March 25 air date was revealed in the second volume of Boku no Hero Academia Yūei Hakusho novel according to Anime News Network.

The story is set in a world where some people were born with superpowers known as Quirks and being a hero is like an honorable occupation. Midoriya Izuku dreams of becoming a hero like his idol, All Might, however, he doesn't have a Quirk and always gets bullied by his classmates. After seeing him save his childhood bully, Bakugo Katsuki, from a Villain, All Might passed him his own quirk, "One For All," and he enters U.A. High School, a school for the best aspiring heroes.

Following the villain invasion inside the school in the last episode of season 1, U.A. High School will be in a festive mood for the first arc in "My Hero Academia" season 2 featuring the Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga. Midoriya and Bakugo's rivalry would be as fiery as ever, however, they would also have to fight new faces from another class, Class 1-B, whom will be introduced in the sports festival arc.

The original cast from season 1 is reprising their roles on "My Hero Academia" season 2. On the other hand, additional cast members according to Crunchyroll include Kōji Okino as Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu (Quirk: Steel), Saki Ogasawara as Itsuka Kendō (Quirk: Large Fists), Miho Masaka as Ibara Shiozaki (Quirk: Vines), and Kōhei Amasaki as Neito Monoma (Quirk: Copy) all from Class 1-B. Azu Sakura will also play Mei Hatsume (Quirk: Zoom), a student from the Department of Support.
