Nexus 4 Now Available From Koodo Mobile, Will You Buy The Handset?

Canadian carrier Koodo seems to be on track to release the Google Nexus 4 soon. The handset is available via the Google Play Store and other carriers in the country.

As recent smartphone news mostly relates to the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and other more recent entries, it seems that the Google Nexus 4 has been forgotten. Google released the Nexus 4 in November 2012 and since then, the handset has gained a lot of popularity for its high-end specifications, comparatively cheap pricing and being the first device to have the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. However, the handset has been surrounded with supply issues ever since its release.

Koodo Mobile is selling the 16GB version of the Nexus 4 for $250 on a three-year contract and for $400 if you want to buy the handset outright. However, the handset is still labeled as "Coming Soon" on Koodo's Nexus 4 webpage and the availability of the smartphone is not known.

Koodo is not the only Canadian carrier selling the Nexus 4 in the country. TELUS is selling the 16GB variant of the handset for $100 on select two-year contracts and for $429 on a pre-paid plan. Quebec-based Videotron is selling the Nexus 4, starting at $0 on contract, whereas the unlocked version is priced at $499.95 (16GB). Similarly, WIND is also offering the Nexus 4 with a starting price of $249 on a three-year contract.

Customers can buy the unlocked version of the Nexus 4 directly from the Google Play store (Canada) with a price tag of $309 (8GB) and $359 (16GB).

The Nexus 4 packs in a 4.7-inch TrueHD IPS Plus Display with 1280 x 768 resolution and 318 pixels per inch (ppi). A 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM powers the handset. The Nexus 4 is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper. A 2100 mAh battery fuels the device.

If you are looking for a smartphone, will you have the Nexus 4 in your shortlist?
