Wedding bells are ringing! It's finally time for Hinata and Naruto's wedding in "Naruto Shippuden" episodes 494 and 495. Good news for all Naruto fans, we are getting an hour-long special episode for this very special chapter in Naruto and Hinata's lives.
Mark your calendars. "Naruto Shippuden" episodes 494 and 495 will air on Tuesday, Feb. 16 according to Otaku Vines. In honor of the great occasion. J-World released a poster of the "Naruto" casts in formal attire according to Comicbook. Naruto and Hinata are in the middle dressed in traditional Japanese wedding attire. They are surrounded by friends including Sakura, Sai, Ino, Shikamaru, Kiba and more. The episode will adapt the fourth book of the Naruto Hiden series "Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding." Naruto fans must be knowledgeable about this but for those who don't, let me give you some bits of spoilers.
"Naruto Shippuden" episodes 494 and 495 will feature Konoha preparing for Naruto and Hinata's wedding -- shinobi style. After the last Great War and more successful missions, Naruto is now considered a hero of Konoha and of course, his wedding is a huge celebration. However, his friends all now have very important positions and are always busy so gathering them all for the wedding might be tough.
Kakashi, the current Hokage, thinks of a plan. He can adjust all the mission timelines to fit the wedding day, however, he would not be able to control if an emergency arises and someone might not be able to make it. He then decided to make the wedding itself a mission -- quite an abuse of authority right? Naruto and Hinata's friends were given a mission to find the best gift for the wedding.
It seems easy at first but no, this needs more than just your ordinary shinobi skills. Rock Lee is first off to find a gift, that is, by making 846 laps around Konoha. But even after all these efforts, all he can think of is nothing fit as a wedding gift. He will still go on with it anyway thanks to Guy-sensei's input. More importantly, we would get to see Lee dressed in woman outfit complete with make-up if the episode faithfully follows the novel.
Meanwhile, it would also feature some Shikamaru and Temari romance. Shikamaru intends to ask her an advice about his gift for the wedding, a honeymoon trip for Naruto and Hinata (This is seriously sensible compared to the gifts prepared by the others). However, Temari will confuse it for a honeymoon plan for the two of them.
The competition for getting the best gift will be intense in "Naruto Shippuden" episodes 494 and 495. Sakura and Ino will bicker as usual fighting on who gets to buy their initial chosen gift -- a picture frame. Hinata's previous team, Team 8, will even go to a black market to find a rare gift, treating it as their final mission before they go separate ways and focus on creating their own teams. We will also get to see other characters like Iruka-sensei, Tsunade, the other Kages and even Ichiraku Ramen owner Teuchi. Maybe the best gift is no other than a lifetime supply of ramen?
