Fallout Shelter To Be Released On Consoles

Fallout Shelter is a free to play simulation game, which was made by Bethesda and was first released last 2015. It follows the Fallout universe where a catastrophic event took place and within this, the player's objective is to manage a fallout shelter or Vault. Upon release, the game was positively received by the gaming community and critics praised the theme and idea of the game.

So when news came that this game was to be brought to Xbox One and Windows 10, avid players of Fallout were filled with excitement. Players are anticipating this game to be on a different platform since previously it was released for mobile devices and the PC only.

According to GameSpot, Bethesda announced that the Xbox One and Windows 10 version will be released on Feb. 7, 2017. These two versions are not only going to excite Fallout fans and players, but it also could impress them. These two has the Xbox Play Anywhere feature meaning that a player's existing progress can be synced to the other platform and be continued. In the end, a player can enjoy the game on any of these two consoles then.

Fallout Shelter has been a success for Bethesda as it has more than 50 million players, and reached number one in the U.S. and U.K. as the most popular free game upon release. Not only is the game popular, but is also the third highest grossing game in the App Store for Apple.

There is no telling what would happen to the game after the Feb. 7 release, but an article by PC Gamer mentions that there is no new content for the Windows 10 version of the game. Microsoft also said that the game is going to work with the Xbox One controller, which would make the experience of playing Fallout Shelter better.
