The Super Bowl LI has just taken place in Houston, Texas and it was a memorable event especially for those who attended the huge NFL event. Super Bowl events are no stranger to huge displays of attractions that include halftime show performances from famous stars and even the revelation of new movie trailers. This year, the Super Bowl event showcased 10 new movie trailers and here they are.
Aside from new trailers from movies that fans have been waiting for, studios have released the extended versions of the trailers they have released prior to Super Bowl LI. 20th Century Fox released a breathtaking trailer for the anticipated thriller movie, "A Cure For Wellness", which is slated to release on Feb. 17 in the United States. Columbia Pictures revealed a fun and action-filled new trailer for the sci-fi thriller, "Life" as the astronauts face a new life form that can wipe out the human race. The movie, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds, will be out in cinemas in the United States on March 24.
Marvel Studios revealed a whole new trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and it looks awesome. Coupled with a great 80s song, the trailer introduced new characters who will be joining the sequel, namely Mantis, Ayesha, Taserface, and Ego. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will be released on May 5 this year. A new trailer for "Logan" starring Wolverine has been released dabbed in the famous "Amazing Grace" song. "Logan" will premiere on March 3.
The new trailer for "John Wick: Chapter 2" took a jab on "Fifty Shades of Grey" by parodying some of its scenes. Nevertheless, it showed new more footage of the upcoming "John Wick" sequel, which is slated to release on Feb. 10. Paramount Pictures released the pre-Super Bowl trailer for "Ghost in the Shell" as well as a new trailer for "Baywatch", featuring more of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron's sexiness.
An extended trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" teased an action-filled story led by dead characters. The movie, which will be released on May 26, brings back Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, and Orlando Bloom. Another extended trailer revealed was of "Transformers: The Last Knight", which added scenes of Optimus Prime. The new "Transformers" movie will be released in June 2017.
Lastly, a new trailer for "The Fate of the Furious" was revealed featuring more action from the heart racing franchise. This movie brings back all the characters from the previous "Fast and Furious" movies with Charlize Theron debuting as a villain in this movie. "The Fate of the Furious" is the eighth installment in the franchise and is slated to release on April 14 in the United States.
