Samsung Galaxy S4 currently seems to have overshadowed the news of other Samsung smartphones. However, many smartphones users are still attached to their old smartphones and don't find the need to replace their handsets with a newer handset. Samsung Galaxy Note has been very popular in its times but the handset will get the taste of Jelly Bean soon in Canada.
Canadian carrier TELUS recently confirmed that it will start rolling out the Jelly Bean software update to its Galaxy Note subscribers and now Rogers have indicated on its community forum that it will release Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to its Galaxy Note subscribers from May onwards.
Galaxy Note has already got the Jelly Bean software update in many parts of the world and users are enjoying many new features after the firmware update.
The Jelly Bean update to the Galaxy Note will enable Samsung S-Cloud services, improved camera features, complete user interface revamp to TouchWiz Nature UX, Project Butter meaning incredibly smooth performance and greater stability. New features include Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play, two home screen modes and Google Now.
The Jelly Bean update will improve the responsiveness of the Galaxy Note by boosting its CPU the instant the touchscreen of the phone gets in use, and turns it off when not in use. The process makes the phone's performance better and saves the battery life.
The update will also bring improvements to the user interface (UI) of the handset and navigating the device will get faster. A swipe from the camera view finder lets the user quickly review the photos taken without having to leave the camera app.
The notifications bar in the phone will display the full text of incoming SMS messages and while, receiving an MMS, the photo in the notification can also be viewed.
Rogers has not confirmed the exact release date for the software update so we will have to wait until the carrier gives out more details.
