Use Skype's Special Edition Features This Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is the next big occasion for many people, and with that, Skype is rolling out new features to help you celebrate the holiday with your loved ones from afar. If you rely on Skype messenger to communicate with your friends, family and significant other, know that Microsoft has worked with Rogue Octopus to bring in new Mojis or short video clips that you can send to your contacts. Here's what's new with Skype this Valentine's season.

Microsoft Adds In Mojis In Skype This February

As per Microsoft, each Moji follows two characters through different love stages and the clips are accompanied by tracks from Rogue Octopus' artists. If you want to use the Mojis this Valentine's season, you can find them by clicking on the red heart from the Skype picker. This feature has started rolling out today but according to Neowin, it may not have rolled out to everyone's devices just yet.

More Skype Valentine's Day Features

Alongside the Mojis, there are also new V-day themed emoticons. There is a heart-shaped balloon held by a cactus, which is pretty funny actually, and there is also a guy wearing a sombrero while playing guitar and biting a piece of rose. These are just two of the new Skype Valentine's Day emoticons from Microsoft but emoticons are not all that the messenger has to offer this season. If you want to send a recorded video message, you can make your clip more special through Skype's Virtual Valentine messages.

The Virtual Valentine messaging feature would allow you to capture a video with floating hearts. It's similar to Skype's holiday-themed feature from last December, only that the current edition is for Valentine's day. If you're excited about Skype's Valentine's season features, know that the emoticons are also rolling out today alongside the Mojis. The Virtual Valentine messages, on the other hand, are still coming soon. It's also important to use the latest Skype version on your devices to make sure that you get the most out of the new Skype services.
