The squabble between Pres. Donald Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to heat up a bit every day as they continuously bash each other on social media. 'The Celebrity Apprentice' has recently lost its primetime slot on NBC following the significant drop in its viewers' ratings. Pres. Trump then was quick to throw negative comments on Schwarzenegger's ability to host his former show.
Pres. Trump has poked fun at the current ratings of "The Celebrity Apprentice" which is under a new host, Schwarzenegger. The reality show has lost almost $3 million viewers on its season 15 premiere since it was last hosted by Trump in 2015. The installment continues to serve as the least-watched season which reportedly pushed NBC to ax the show from its TV3 primetime slot.
"The Celebrity Apprentice" was moved by its host network to Saturday afternoons. Pres. Trump then posted a series of tweets, comparing his time with "The Apprentice" franchise to the current season. Some of the president's tweets also hint on his deeper grudge on Schwarzenegger, as he mentioned allegations of supporting his opponent, Hillary Clinton, during the 2016 U.S. elections.
Pres. Trump has also taken further his criticisms for the actor/host as he recently mocked Schwarzenegger at the National Prayer Breakfast. "They hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to take my place. We know how that turned out. The ratings went right down the tube," Pres. Trump joked at the NPB as noted by Tampa Bay Times.
Following these chain of mockery, Schwarzenegger was then prompted to fire back on Twitter. The new host posted a video of himself, answering Pres. Trump's comments. He suggested for them to switch jobs as he takes over the presidential seat while Trump goes back to hosting. He added that his suggestion might be a good idea as people can finally sleep more comfortably when Trump is replaced as the president of the United States.
