A New Feature Is Coming To Final Fantasy XV Soon!

Final Fantasy XV became a huge hit soon after its release. It acquired international recognition, which further cement the impressive reputation of the franchise. Regardless, most players will agree that it still needs vast improvements. Apparently, developer Square Enix is on the edge of bringing a new feature -- one that could just change the tide of history.

In an interview with DualShockers, game director Hajime Tabata admitted that the studio is currently working on a new Final Fantasy XV feature. It's no other than the character-creation system, something that's designed specifically for the game's upcoming multiplayer mode. Nonetheless, there are talks about the possibility of it being applied to the single-player mode as well.

The aforementioned Final Fantasy XV director iterated that this new system has long been in the development stage. Unfortunately, they can't simply reveal it right off the bat for the purpose that it's barely complete. He further revealed that there's a twist that they'll be doing.

That instead of just implementing the character-creation system for Final Fantasy XV, they want to combine it alongside a sort of multiplayer feature. This is for the purpose of bringing the latter into the picture, not just simply allowing players to create their own characters. As of this writing, the system is just able to "change the character and morph it into another character," one that kind of looks a bit different.

The forthcoming Final Fantasy XV feature is currently limited to a small number of options. For instance, it only offers the ability to tweak a character's head size, height and muscle, among others. But of course, it's expected to bubble up in the next few weeks to come. The said feature was really meant for the multiplayer mode, but the studio decided to introduce it to single-player; hence the amount of time needed to bring it to reality.

For now, Square Enix can't give out a specific timeline as to when the character-creation system will arrive to Final Fantasy XV. Nevertheless, they're looking at releasing it within the year -- if and only if the development process proves to be seamless. Either that, this is really something worth looking forward to.
