No wonder these games have reached greater heights since their release. Surprisingly, a research reveals the connection of men and women to these mobile game apps.
According to USCNews, a study from the Information Sciences Institute (USC Viterbi School of Engineering) reveal a great number of purchases made on Apple's App Store. Apparently, these involve the aforementioned games -- Clash of Clans and Candy Crush Saga. Basically, these users are making in-game purchases to buy more lives (CC) and acquire more virtual coins (COC).
The entire mobile purchases investigated by the researchers accounted nearly 61 percent of all the in-game purchases refer to the money spent for mobile purchases. The top 1 percent of all spenders, in particular, is deemed as the 59 percent of all money spent on these kinds of in-app purchases.
In the aforementioned App Store, the most popular games are led by Clash of Clans and Candy Crush Saga. The list also includes the likes of Boom Beach, Game of War and Hay Day, among others. The study also unveils the truth about men having a fancy on sports-related apps. Women, on the other hand, is more about spending money on puzzle games, education apps and the likes.
The study also further reveals that 70 percent of the money is from men who went to buy stuff for Clash of Clans. The remaining percentage are for women who opted to spend money on Candy Crush Saga. This is indeed a very interesting study as it reveals the difference between men and women in today's modern technology. Furthermore, it somehow projects the idea that men and women definitely differ greatly in terms of the mobile games they play.
